About Us
Our Beginning
Our humble beginning started when we volunteered for the Team Luke Tennis Classic in 2016 to help the family of a young man who suffered a traumatic brain injury. Since then, we have grown this tournament into a charity that helps support many different programs. Our most recent project has been launching the first Wheelchair Tennis Program in west Texas. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to improve their health and fitness by playing individually or on a team through sports and recreation.
Our Mission
West Texas Pro Tennis is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Our mission is to support and promote the health and well-being of men, women, and children through sports. Due to the generosity of our partners, community and volunteers, this organization has developed its biggest fundraiser of the year: the West Texas Pro Tennis Open. This tournament brings international recognition and attention to the west Texas area. Our goal is to promote tennis at all levels in the local community as well as provide a safe, friendly environment for those with special needs, junior and adult players, and up and coming professional players. Many of the players who previously participated in our tournament, are now ranked in the top 200 in the world. This is a great opportunity for our community to meet and gain valuable connections and to help our local tennis efforts in schools, facilities, and other programs.
